THE ACÉPHALE ORIENTATION
Modern clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, and all forms of institutionalised psychotherapy operate as a modern Homeric epic: a sanitizing buffer designed to translate raw somatic terror, grief, and existential disorientation into safe, intellectual concepts. By converting direct human suffering into clinical labels, endless narrative processing, and academic "wiseacring"(endless pontificating, reasoning etc.), institutional therapy offers a comfortable shelter. It promises relief from anxiety by relieving the individual of the burden of personal responsibility and sovereign self-determination.
This institutional model, as I call it, the mental health industrial complex, treats the ego or individual as something automatically entitled to comfort, adjustment, and passive survival. It adjusts the individual to a sick world rather than demanding the conscious forging of a sovereign soul.
